The Eloquent Light (intro)

The Eloquent Light (intro)

I love the look that thickly applied hybrid inks on matte paper can give me. There’s a real diffused appearance when you combine those with white pigment ink that reminds me of something in between pastels and painting. The inks can almost move around like pastels and when I’m applying them with a wadded up paper towel, the thick inks make it feel like I’m finger painting. I wanted to test them out in a waterfall composition to see if I could get a real airy looking result. I wanted a scene almost bathed in light.

Original: Marvy dye based inks for the foundation stamp impressions. Moon and the Maker Moonlight Duo hybrid ink pads for coloring the scene (using a paper towel) and for the foreground imagery. Hero Arts white pigment ink applied with a cotton ball. 8.5" x 5.5" matte card stock. Dr. Ph Martin’s Bleed Proof White applied with a tooth brush.

Stampscapes stamps used: Babbling Brook 183G, Tree Cluster 266D, Boulders with Lichen Sm 210C, Leaves 399E, Reeds Lg 068D, Buck Lg 009B.
